About me
I am an independent funeral celebrant based in the beautiful village of Nympsfield, Gloucestershire. I am a classically trained singer, Choir Director, Mother and Grandmother with a passion for literature, creative writing and poetry.
I worked for 3 years as a Funeral Arranger for a Gloucester Funeral Director and more recently, for 10 years in the Care Sector where I supported families at some very difficult times, as their loved ones approached the end of their lives.
I acted as Funeral Celebrant at many ceremonies and realised that this work was my true calling, so made the decision to take my Level 3 Funeral Diploma with Green fuse.
I am passionate about ritual and ceremony and work with families to create a unique and personal ceremony which will truly reflect the beliefs, character and values of the person who has died and will celebrate their life in a unique and imaginative way. I respect people’s personal spiritual beliefs and can create an imaginative and structured ceremony which will reflect each person’s belief about life and death.

How it works
I will meet with families in their own homes, or another venue of their choice, where together, we can explore the options available. I will listen carefully and sensitively and provide support in making the decisions around the funeral venue, readings, poems, music and delivery of the ceremony. I can offer ideas on unique venues at which to hold ceremonies whether that be in a Village Hall, Hotel, Garden or the more traditional Crematorium Chapel setting.
I will then create a script which I will send for approval. I will be available by telephone and email to answer any questions and to provide support in the lead up to the funeral day. I will liaise with all other professionals involved and do everything to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day and that the ceremony will be both beautiful and memorable.
